What is the experience of being laid off from work?

Since I was laid off from work, I thought I would share some of the feelings and logistics of being laid off from a remote job.

I’m using more ink

This is top of mind, as my ink pen just ran dry.

Working remotely, and for a forums company at that, meant I was typing all day. I still took notes in ink, but since being laid off I’ve become prolific in my handwriting.

This aspect is nice, I’ve had a chance to step away from my computing devices for a bit. When I am using a device, it is for deep learning, and therefore quite satisfying. And of course such research is based on the copious notes I now have scattered about. :page_with_curl:

I’m grateful to have my handwriting system thought out and complete, it’s a reliable fallback for when I need to externalize my thoughts and focus.
