conceptual card game

This is my “ccg”.

It is currently scattered across many pages that have inconveniently found themselves in multiple piles… so this topic will be gather parts as they are processed. :smiley:

Each spacetime node, where all the action is happening, will reflect a GLAM (cultural heritage) - Wikipedia.

Each “portfolio” will present it’s own nodes; this is similar to traveling between timelines or dimensions or something.

This is a card game, but played as an online, digital game.

Cards represent concepts. They are held in your mind.

By default you can hold up to seven concepts in your mind.

Having more will require you to dismiss concepts until you reach an appropriate amount.

Portfolios are cards that have a set of cards attached to it. These cards are thematic, and use keyword-based interactions to fulfill the theme mechanically, as well as generatively (:person_shrugging:).

Portfolios have keywords as well, which apply to gameplay.

Cards used as spells affecting other players present interactive elements presented as part of a vision or dream. These are essentially mini-games with multiple choices, and can be hooked into as mechanics.

For instance, a spell based on tarot would present certain choices, but may be modified by a mechanic whereas the target is able to manipulate tarot results.

This handles a bit of the async nature of the game and spellcasting, as well as providing potential defensive strategies for the game.
