Perhaps the most interesting thing to come from having a smart watch: I get a “body response” whenever my brain starts burning energy to process something.
It happens at the funniest moments, such as someone mentioning my trauma, or how noodles could be prepared, or seeing another person shivering from cold…
I’m using the Fitbit app, and it asks me if I want to log my mood (which is a list of emoji feelings, for easy pressing on the watch), as well as offering “mindfulness” activities.
I mostly clear these notifications, though I’ve been trying to “log my mood” to see if there is a pattern there.
When I visited the Internet Archive for Public Domain Day, I had to pause them for the evening, since it was constantly going off as I chatted with media professors about the source materials of the remixed videos we were watching…
I suppose I’m grateful it asks for my introspection rather than judging it as “stress.” Also, I’m learning more about what “stress” means.
