Recently I’ve been struggling to keep up with code references while looking at code for Discourse and WordPress. Some folks recommended I use an IDE, and it looks like its about time.
I’ve use integrated development environments before, but most of my work has been fairly simple template making, so a lot of the benefits of an IDE were lost on my use case; in fact, they often got in the way.
Using this topic to grab a bunch of candidates to try out. I need to catch up on what they current feature set does and is called, and then compare them.
And also, see if I can get neovim to do all the things, because that would be the ultimate goal for me.
